Stormwater Treatment & Dewatering
Port and waterfront sites generate stormwater that carries sediment, petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, and other pollutants picked up from terminal surfaces and construction areas. That runoff must be treated before it can be discharged near sensitive receiving waters.
Washington Stormwater deploys and operates industrial stormwater treatment systems sized for the flow volumes and contaminant conditions found at active port and waterfront sites. Our Chitosan-Enhanced Sand Filtration (CESF) systems treat turbidity and suspended solids effectively, and we combine filtration with oil-water separation and chemical treatment when site conditions require it.
Permitting, Compliance & Reporting
Waterfront projects often require permits from multiple agencies at once. Washington Stormwater manages stormwater permitting for port and marine projects, including Construction Stormwater General Permit applications, Ecology permits, shoreline permits, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permits under the Clean Water Act.
We prepare your Notice of Intent, SWPPP, public notification, and site plan documentation within three days of engagement and coordinate directly with the Department of Ecology on your behalf.
